available for seniors. All either provide or refer for advocacy and counseling, health screenings,

emergency help, wellness programs, meals, outreach, social activities and transportation.

Distributes federal and state funds for health and human services to older adults through Ohio’s 12

Area Agencies on Aging. Coordinates the following programs: PASSPORT long term care, Residential

State Supplement (RSS) housing, Benefits Check-Up, assisted living waiver, Ombudsman, Golden

Buckeye Program and Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) with the Ohio

Department of Insurance. Joined Hearts in Giving, Ohio Senior Citizen’s Day, the Ohio Senior Citizens

Hall of Fame and the Elder Caregiver Award Ceremony. Produces “Finer With Age,” a public access TV

program.

A Long Term Care Consultation is a one-stop service to empower older adults and their families with

information and access to services to help maintain independence and live at home. Administers

federal and state funds and develops services in Central Ohio to help older adults maintain

independence. Serves Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway and

Union counties.
